The manager also checked on us a couple of times which was nice. It wasn’t intrusive. It was just a brief ‘Can I get you anything?’ which is always welcome. We ordered several appetizers, some noodles and a couple of entrées and just shared them with the table to get a taste of a bunch of different things. They did a great job at coursing out the food. The order was exactly as we had placed it. The timing was perfect and the food was very creative and delicious. The ambience is very cozy and charming. The restaurant wasn’t too loud, but it still had a good energy to it. My husband and I are debating if it is our new favorite restaurant in Phoenix. It is pretty exceptional in many ways. We had great service and the food was fabulous. It has definitely become more expensive as a nice dinner with a bottle of wine with a 20% tip because it was great service was about $400. Having said that, however, we had a great split bowl of poblano soup and the mushroom tempura for appetizers and then we had a filet mignon and sea bass. The food was cooked perfectly and Chrissy our server was wonderful. We had some lemon sherbet and chocolate gelato for desert. For wine we had a bottle of Daou Reserve Cabernet. The love acoustic guitar player was wonderful as well. With views of the kitchen and the flexibility to customize the meal to your desire it was phenomenal. As if that wasn’t enough we were celebrating a 16th birthday for which the waitress had the pastry chef design my brothers favorite character (Steve from Minecraft) on his dessert plate which absolutely made his night. They also gave him a handwritten birthday card. I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff and this family own restaurant. The restaurant had a card with "Happy Anniversary" on our table. We tried the lamb skewers with tahini and salsa as an appetizer, the beets with ricotta as a salad course, and the grits with sausage and shrimp as our main. Everything was fresh, tasty, and lovely to look at as well as tasting great. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive. All in all we had a fantastic experience.
