Travis and Ryan Croxton debut their spinoff from the highly acclaimed Rappahannock Oyster Bar at Union Market in Washington, DC. They’ve even brought their DC Chef, Kevin Kelly, to man the kitchen at this outpost. This location in the historic Cigar Factory Building on East Bay Street, allows room for Chef Kelly to showcase more of his cuisine to a larger audience, including an incredibly unique 40 seat raw bar. Oysters grown by the Croxton’s own Rappahannock Oyster Company are accentuated, but Kelly’s signature dishes like lambs’n’clams, crabcakes, shrimp & grits and the best po’ boy you’ll ever eat are enough reasons in their own right for constant visits. Coupled with a great cocktail program and focus on local ingredients, ROB is a great place for any occasion.

Great food, lovely waitress. But we were seated at an odd table, it was long and thin. Squished in. Eyes n the wall and another table. With the noise level the two at the ends couldn’t hear each other. There were only 3 of us and we had reservations.

I look forward to returning to Rappahannock Oyster very soon. We loved the atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant. Noteworthy is that the music was at just the right level to create an enjoyable ambiance. Service was excellent and the food delicious, especially outstanding are the oysters. On my return, I intend on sampling more. The crab cake preparation was a refreshing surprise from the usual crab cakes I’ve had at other establishments. I loved the chef’s flair with this dish. The dish is delicious and a good value at the price point.

My first time going here after hearing so many good things about it and it DID NOT disappoint!! We went for a Galentine's Day and Lyric made our experience so wonderful! The food was delicious, I loved the vibe and decor, and for what we got as a meal, the value was definitely there! We have definitely found one of our favorite spots to go!!
