The French onion soup had a flavorful broth and more cheese than I’ve ever seen (no complaints). The lobster bisque ranks right up there when compared to another top rated French restaurant in the DMV. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the accompanying Bordelaise sauce accented it perfectly. We didn’t have room for dessert but ordered it anyway, profiteroles and chocolate mousse. Yum!! The service was attentive, with no mistakes and the ambience on the upper level enhanced the dining experience. The noise level was okay, and I’m glad it wasn’t any louder. The price points were reasonable, given the quality, and there are less expensive menu options. This was our first visit to this restaurant but we will be back!More infoLa Grande Boucherie - DCPrice: Very Expensive• French• Washington•4.3

- RRobertVIPWashington, D.C. Area •17 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat ambiance, service, and food in a pre-movie dinner for three. Great hot soup on a night of exceptional winter chill. Three different seafood entrees for three different diners, all excellent. Efficient, friendly, non-obsequious service that knew how to time things, so all was done before time to leave for the movie house. Bustling, cosmopolitan, but polite, non-noisy crowd provided stimulating dining backdrop.More infoMacon BistroPrice: Moderate• French American• Friendship Heights•4.4
