Best Date Night Restaurants in Glen Allen

Overall a nice dining experience. Waitstaff was excellent. Food, some parts great, other just average. Wine, excellent.

So we went to Perry's Valentine's night and had a reservation at 645 and they were running 15-20 min behind finally at 730 we Sat down but they had no glasses clean for drinks waited about 15 more for water and drinks from the bar. We had a limited menu but I was disappointed that they sat me in the bar beside someone I could hear the entire conversation and they were so loud and it was hard for my husband to even hear anything. And I booked for the patio too. The service was spectacular though as the food . The wedge salad was fantastic. The wine was super expensive one glass was 56.00 and it was ok. The steak and lobster was delicious and I could honestly say the fillet was the best I ever had. The mashed potatoes were really good as were the veggies too. The chocolate covered strawberries were scrumptious. We had so much food left over definitely enough for 4 people. Price wise the food definitely was worth it. Not so much the wine. Definitely would go back just not for Valentine's Day. They had 1500 reservations and I feel they overbooked for everyone. Hopefully next year they limit the reservations. I feel you get better service and not so rushed. We didn't even get to finish our salads before food was out.

Our waiter was wonderful. The ambience, the food, was impeccable. I had shrimp & grits which tasted as authentic as a restaurant i went to in South Carolina. My spouse had filet mignon both potatoes& veggies. Steak was cooked to perfection. Will definitely return!

We had a fantastic Valentine’s Day lunch. We ate in the sunroom, which was beautiful. We had the delicious Valentine’s Day mojito. We also had the steak and potato soup. It was soooo good. Our entrees were scrumptious as well. Our server was helpful and most attentive. The atmosphere made my Valentine’s Day special.

This was our first visit, and it not only met but exceeded the high expectations I had based on friends who say this is their favorite restaurant. The host and hostess were friendly; bar scene looked lively and fun; our waiter was personable, attentive, and took great care of us; and the food was exceptional. We will definitely be returning and hopefully often!
