Best Date Night Restaurants in San Ysidro

The ambience was perfect for date night. The cocktails were delicious, specifically the Italian margarita. It was a busy Saturday. Our server was very friendly, however It took 20 min for us to be noticed. Had to ask for things multiple times and it took a long while for our food to come out. Will try again on weeknight. The food was great.

We had a great experience at Piatti. I’ve been to the location at the Quarry before, but it had been a while. I ordered the lemon ricotta ravioli which was good but very lemony. My boyfriend got the short rib with pasta. It was way too rich for me but he liked it. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The drinks and food came out extraordinarily fast, especially for such a busy night (Valentine’s Day.) 10/10 would recommend for a nice date night and an easy, well-priced meal.

We were seated promptly at our reservation time. Service was excellent. I noticed a nearby table had an issue with seating, but the staff was very helpful and attentive to getting it resolved. Everyone was focused on good customer service. Food was delicious. Portions were good. Sharable sides can easily feed 3, possibly 4, people. The steaks were ordered from medium to well done, and all of them were cooked perfectly. It is very difficult to find a restaurant that can cook a steak well done without turning it into charcoal, Perry's did it just right. If there is any complaint is that the bananas foster was a little underwhelming. It isn't prepared on a burner and sautéed. It is only flambéed using a butane torch. The rum burns off fairly quickly so the bananas and caramel don't really have time to "cook". It was still delicious but not as delicious as others I've had. Regardless, we definitely recommend Perry's and will be returning.

Started out stressful. Neither Valet ran out of parking. Open parking was full. Finally parked behind other cars. We had confirmed reservations, but we told there wasn't any parking. Server was EXCELLENT. Medium rare felet was well done on half and rare on the other half. They sliced the felet like a London Broil. The chef could have seen that the felet was not cooked correctly.

The staff was super friendly. I had breakfast and dinner there and the food was delicious!
