Best Date Night Restaurants in Tavernier

Good food but not the ingredients advertised on the menu. The Caribbean rub chicken cake without the advertised fried plantains. The pea and prosciutto salad came without the advertised English peas and snap peas, and came only with the fava beans. No mention or apology by the server for any of those omissions. Odd. But the good as served was good. My wife thought $48 for a roast half chicken was a bit high but it was well prepared (except for the missing plantains) and you are paying for location and ambiance, which are lovely. The key lime pie is very good. The Caribbean coconut custard nearly as good. Far Niente Chardonnay runs $170 which is a bit dear but location, location, location. This is our fourth stay at Cheeca Lodge and good food is part of it, so we will be back.

I recently dined at A love story winery & bistro and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was welcoming, and the staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. Beautiful waterviews and tranquil and romantic ambiance. Wonderful seafood options on menu. The staff is very attentive. A must when visiting the Florida Keys.
