- MMichelSan Francisco Bay Area •7 reviews5.0Dined todayThe only dish that was so so was the carrots appetizer. Interesting concept but did not work. Table next to us agreed. everything else was fantastic! Had pasta with ground duck which was phenomenal and the dourade or bream fish and ny strip were perfect. Note that the potato cloud served with the steak was a very small portion. Everything was served in a way that was easy to share with the table. Loukomades or Greek beignets for desert also delicious if a bit more dense than regular beignets. Pricey but definitely value for money. Will return.More infoEos & NyxPrice: Expensive• Californian• San Jose•4.7
- AAlmaSan Francisco Bay Area •52 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThree of us had a lovely birthday celebration for a lady friend. The RH Rooftop Restaurant was the perfect place in a lovely and elegant setting. The service provided by Isabella was discreet, efficient and not overbearing. We all ordered the chicken salad that had pieces of grilled chicken in it. The dressing was bit too vinegary, but the salad was good. We shared an order of crisp fries. The meal ended with a candle and warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie as a special treat for the birthday girl. We would definitely go back again, and not just for a special celebration. As we were leaving, Isabelle asked if we’d like to have our picture taken. She suggested posing in front of the beautiful fountain located in the center of the restaurant. It was such a thoughtful gesture, we now have a fond photo memory of our birthday luncheon.More infoRH Rooftop Restaurant Palo AltoPrice: Very Expensive• American• Palo Alto•4.4
- JJoSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI booked a reservation exactly 2 months in advance, right when the exact date I wanted was available on OpenTable. I was added notes that it was for my boyfriend's 40th birthday (milestone bday!), and requested to be seated somewhere intimate, preferably a booth. On the date of the reservation, we were running half an hour late. We called to let them know, and Josh on the phone was super kind and accommodating. Complimentary valet parking REALLY helped when we arrived. One of the reasons I chose Selby's is because the ambience looked lovely from the photos. Lemme tell you, the vibes are way better in person. I really enjoyed art deco details such as the lamps, and we were seated in a cozy booth right by the fireplace on the first floor. The bathrooms are also beautiful with lovely lighting. Highly recommend everything we ate! Appetizers: CHESTNUT VELOUTÉ DIVER SCALLOP VÉRONIQUE Mains: PETITE FILET, 6 OZ HONEY LACQUER DUCK BREAST Dessert: HACHIYA PERSIMMON PUDDING 2x Our waitress Serene is SO SWEET. She was very attentive to us all night, and I enjoyed talking to her, and learned that she's a fellow Taiwanese, so it was really lovely to get to learn about her background, what brought her here to the US, and her kids. I tipped her well, and we felt lucky she was our server. Tipped Alex the valet driver as well. Right when we stepped out, we were pleasantly surprise our car was already right in front waiting for us. We chatted with him for a bit, and learned he's from Hong Kong. He was awesome! This experience at Selby's was worth every penny. Highly recommend coming here for special occasions. Definitely want to come back for other occasions, and even check out the bar!More infoSelby'sPrice: Expensive• Continental• Menlo Park•4.6
- LLindsaySacramento / Sacramento Valley •9 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had the most delicious meal at Terra! We went on a Saturday at 11am and had the option of the brunch or the regular menu. We started with the Zucca e Ricotta and the FOCACCIA BARESE - both were perfect. Then we shared the Uova Benedettine and the SPAGHETTI ALLA CARBONARA. Again, both delicious. The carbonara was so good that after the meal, I went into Eataly to buy supplies to try to replicate it at home. Great service, great ambiance, great food. Can't wait to go back and try other things!More infoTerra - Eataly Silicon ValleyPrice: Expensive• Italian• Santa Clara•4.1
- VVANESSASan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined 7 days agoAll in all it was fun! It is very small there are only like 5 chalets. We had the first one which was a blessing because it gave my kids some space to run around, otherwise it’s pretty tight for a family of 4 I was thinking they were a bit bigger. Our fire pit ran out of propane and it took at least 45 mins to get our fire pit back up. The food was good but the service was a bit slow my sister in law had to ask for our smores then they lit the burner for it and it took so long to come the burner ran out of flame and had to be re lit. All in all I think it’s a great date night but a little tight for more than 2!More infoApres Village - Four Seasons Silicon ValleyPrice: Very Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Palo Alto•3.5
