Great experience, food is so good, service is amazing. The Orange Tree such a cute and great place for a special meal.

Very attractive village pub which was encouragingly busy for a normal Monday lunchtime. Varied and interesting food and drinks menu with loads of local produce used. Service was excellent with staff being both friendly and efficient. Portions of the tasty dishes are more than decent, especially from the Dessert menu and make up for the slightly expensive prices.

Another excellent lunch at The Axe and Compasses. Lovely food and very friendly staff. Ate in the bar area, adjacent to the restaurant, and had a very relaxing time. Just about to make another booking, for dinner this time and with different friends!

Today was our first visit and the food was outstanding. We all had fish and chips which had been beautifully cooked with lovely batter. My dessert of Pear and Ginger pudding with clotted cream was so good that I had to forego the ice cream which I choose everywhere - that never happens! Definitely recommend this pub for its food and friendly staff.
