Fantastic service, excellent quality locally sourced food in a lovely environment with plenty of Christmas decorations in Peak Village. Was fairly quiet when we visited as it was early evening which made it even more special! Would thoroughly recommend and the sharing dessert!

Lovely cosy atmosphere in the pub with open fires. Very good menu with some unusual choices - always good to see. Food was delicious, service good too. Very nice place, we will go again

Amazing good! Caters perfectly to gluten free requirements and the gf pizza base they use is one of the best I’ve ever tasted!

We enjoyed an excellent lunch of cottage pie and Doddington burger. Both dishes were accompanied by generous portions of kitchen garden vegetables/salad and were delicious. Glasses of Sangiovese were a very good match for the food. Too full to have a dessert, we opted for a coffee and mince pie. It is well worth reserving a table in the restaurant. Although there is inevitably some noise from the cafe below, this was not intrusive. Views of the lake and beyond to open countryside provide a very pleasant backdrop to any meal. Service was both friendly and efficient.
