Byblos Café, originally a Mediterranean market, has been a staple in the orange circle since the 50’s. It was sold to Adel and Zalfa Mahshi in 1989. The family run business became a favorite in the town for Lebanese cuisine. Many locals loyally frequented the spot for their famous Turkish coffee. In 2022, Daily Dose Hospitality, the crew that also runs Bosscat Kitchen & Libations, purchased the business from the family. While Adel and Zalfa had the opportunity to retire, their son, Tim, joined the team alongside Pedram Yazarlou as operating partners. We longed for a community built around a table with good food, but Anaheim lacked authentic and fresh Mediterranean cuisine. We took it on ourselves to create the space and food we craved. Together with friends and family, we hand-built a restaurant that felt Mediterranean in every way, from the murals of the Aleppo Citadel to the menu filled with warm spices and colorful vegetables. Our menu is still built on the original recipes and techniques passed down by our grandparents. We only use high-quality and fresh ingredients, because we want to represent our cuisine well.

    Service was top notch. Our waiter Vincenzo was very attentive and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Our cocktails arrived quickly and were made to perfection. Entrees were sensational with the favorite being the veal in a mushroom sauce. After enjoying our meals we shared a magnificent and perfect in every way grand marnier soufflé. A gift from the gods. So perfect. Was great to see Bruno as he made the rounds visiting each guest. On the whole a delightful , memorable dining experience.

    Excellent food, service, and experience! Enjoyed the most amazing ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. We had the opportunity to share several menu items, and all were amazing! Our servers and bartender were knowledgeable about the menu items and made the perfect dinner and drink recommendations for all of us. The chef also made it a point to meet with us and ask us about experience. I highly recommend Griffin’s for casual dining and any special occasion!
