Best Family Style Restaurants in Financial District / Embarcadero

Amazing dining experience for my husband's birthday. Daria was our server and was excellent. We loved her suggestions on the menu as well. We enjoyed the octopus (best I've ever had), lamb meatballs, Gigantes, Smelt, and the goat stew to finish. We were absolutely stuffed and definitely slept like babies! Everything was stunning. I've heard such wonderful things before coming here, and they had exceeded my expectations.

We had a great time. Food was amazing and reasonably priced for quality and quantity. Service left a bit to be desired, such as asking for things twice and got some sass for asking for a coat check when at the table and not the front desk (I would assume a restaurant of this caliber would offer a coat check when we walk in). Otherwise everything was great!

We were in San Francisco celebrating our 10th anniversary and decided to have some sushi. After much searching, I found this restaurant, which had great reviews. From the moment we arrived until we left, the service was exceptional. We were greeted with a happy anniversary card and some champagne. The food was delicious, and our waitress was amazing. We truly enjoyed our dining experience, and we will definitely come back.

We ordered all the apps for a group of 8. Service was great from the bar to the tables. Very friendly bartender and waitstaff! Love the convenient parking coming from the East Bay. This is a great meeting spot. Loved the hummus, Brussels and the halloumi. Not a duck fan but the radio it came on was great. Wish Tadig was offered with the kabab. Loved the ice cream with saffron.

I have been a customer of this Gem for over 20 years. The food is authentic Italian with a modern creative touch to it. Best of all it is seasonal which gives you something to look forward to every quarter. The clams and mussels come in several broths and it never fails that when I bring a guest they all fawn over it. Service is good and the owners pay close attention to making everyone comfortable. The decor is reminicint of Pompei and one of the owners Pinot will tell you the story of it if you ask.
