Food (kare kare, tocino, tuna crispy rice, wagyu rice, cesar salad, ube dessert) and drink (the malarky) was all great. Service (Lelani?) was excellent. And really, i expected it to be all great for the prices they charge. And they really delivered.

I had an incredible experience at AKA in the Gaslamp Quarter! This Asian fusion spot is an absolute gem, both in terms of atmosphere and food. The decor is striking—the 7-foot-tall Buddha statue makes such a cool statement, and the glowing red bar top creates a warm, inviting vibe that adds to the restaurant’s modern feel. The food was equally impressive! The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and full of flavor. And I can’t get enough of their mango yellowtail sushi roll; the combination of fresh fish with the hint of sweetness from the mango was just delicious. Every bite felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. Can’t wait to come back for another night of amazing food and ambiance! Highly recommend if you’re in San Diego and looking for something unique.
