- LLindsayVIPPhiladelphia County •10 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a table for 8 in a little niche and suspect that the tables in the open would have been much louder as it’s a bit packed. 90% of the food was delicious! Guacamole was stunning; diced tomatillos added texture and flavor without any heat in the mild version. Two of us that usually pass on guac were blown away. we had the brunch menu, and huevos rancheros had a salty queso fresco in cubes, which I had never seen like that. Huaraches with steak were fabulous, my daughter loved her lengua taco, which are hard to find on a menu. The caldo tlalpeño was only ok for me; I wanted it to be limey and mild like i remember from Taxco but it was more Mexico City style with chiles. The only disappointment was the churros; none of us loved them. Not enough cinnamon and a texture that was meh. There were some more exotic desserts like a multi layer chocolate pastel with flan and a fruited tres leches that maybe we should have tried.More infoOyamelPrice: Moderate• Mexican• Penn Quarter•4.7

Also, the Management accommodated a last minute change in the numbers of our party and made sure we made it to the show on time.More infoThe Smith – Penn Quarter, Washington, D.CPrice: Expensive• American• Penn Quarter•4.5
- AAngelaVIPWashington, D.C. Area •22 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoCarmine's is my family favorite for Christmas Eve dinner. Everyone in the restaurant was wonderful--from the people checking us in and seating us to the people in the kitchen who prepared wonderful food. My last bit of praise is for the young woman who helped us navigate Carmine's menu to seeing that all our food and beverages arrived at the table with just enough time between courses.More infoCarmine's - Washington DCPrice: Moderate• Italian• Penn Quarter•4.5
- PPaulWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024The restaurant, bar and lounge areas spread out across multiple rooms / terraces / levels so it is a really intimate and fun layout. Excellent service and value. Price for classic drinks skewed a tad high in my opinion. I'll try and catch a happy hour sometime and the jazz performances.More infoTabard InnPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Dupont Circle•4.7
- JJudithVIPWashington, D.C. Area •40 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Succotash. We had a nice table in a corner and the service was exceptional. Our server was very attentive, polite and professional. He made sure that the food flowed at an appropriate pace and that our water glasses were always topped off, and the table was kept clean. The food was delicious! I had a salad, catch of the day and hummingbird cake all of which was fantastic. My husband had corn bread and shrimp and grits, which he also thoroughly enjoyed. .More infoSuccotash PRIMEPrice: Moderate• American• Penn Quarter•4.6
