Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Mountain Lakes

The food is always great at Chef Freddy's. For the day after Christmas, we were a party of seven, tasting venison (perfect medium rare), Chilean sea bass, ravioli, salmon, and calamari. Two things stood out: the calamari is supplemented with spicy peppers, giving it a unique taste and the care taken for the seventh member of our party--our 3-year-old granddaughter. She was affectionately welcomed and, when the fancier food lost some of its appeal to her, out came a bowl of vanilla ice cream. She was one happy toddler, singing to anyone who would listen. Delicious! My family celebrated Christmas Eve here - it was packed when arrived and a little noisy but it wasn’t overwhelming. We loved all our meals - please order the grilled artichoke… it’s heaven.

As usual everything was wonderful, this is our favorite Christmas eve dinner place.

Seated on the upper level of the dining room we had a grand view of the Tiffany ceiling, and it was much less noisy than the main floor or the red dog. At the close of the meal we were serenaded by the wonderful Brynn Stanley and her pianist, and we spent a happy hour post meal listening to them perform holiday and jazz favorites. A great way to begin the last weekend before Christmas!

Fabulous service throughout the evening. The bartender was professional and engaging. Angela served cocktails that were made to perfection. Dinner was just as perfect. Roberto was the consummate professional as well. He was attentive to our needs but never on top of us. Our dinner as well as the wine was outstanding. Truly a great experience throughout the entire evening.
