Since I was 13 years old, I've been in the restaurant industry. I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. We sat in the window on the first floor. The wait staff was very accommodating as we had 2 babies in our party of 7. The server was very polite and took our order slowly as we were ready one course at a time. The food was fantastic, and the drinks were poured generously. Everything was cooked correctly, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

I have spent many birthday celebrations at Jewel of Himalaya and it never disappoints. Love their food. Love their service. And especially love how they help you celebrate your birthday with a sparkling candle, Nepalese gong and masks, and serenade you with the Happy Birthday song. Thank you Jewel. You helped make my birthday and my friend’s birthday very special.
