Best Fine Dining Restaurants in Cary

Taylor our server was very nice and took care of our needs. The Manager Miles came to ask about food and chat with us as he is from Houston and we moved from there. We always enjoyed the food there.

My wife and I have always enjoyed going to Rey's although, because of their costly menu, it has been reserved only for special occasions. However, we have noticed that the portions have gotten smaller and smaller over the years which the prices have gotten higher and higher. Last night was especially disappointing. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. I ordered the stuffed flounder which at $38 should be a sufficient meal on its own. It was not. It was only about half the portion that would have been served several years ago. Likewise, the sides, now at $12 a pop, should each be enough for two. They had been previously. They were not last night although the price increased recently by $2. We ordered 2 sides but we should have ordered 4 because neither of us felt full after consuming 2 sides. I left $150 poorer and still hungry after consuming every morsel I was served. At some restaurants, you might expect to leave with a doggy bag of leftovers after dropping that much cash. Don't expect that at Rey's. On a more positive note, the complimentary cheesecake dessert to honor my wife's birthday was ample and incredible.

This place is a real treat. It is expensive but it is a real food experience and not just a meal. Incredible food. We had 4 courses, and then they bring a little something between or before all courses, such as little breads, a pre-dessert, they even brought these little 'corn dogs' that were actually duck, and presented so that they looked like the plant called cat-tails. It is not cheap, but it is an experience that you will like talk about and remember for a long time.

My family went to Colletta tonight to celebrate my daughter turning “18”. I made the reservations and let the restaurant know and our preference of table. We got there and was a perfect corner spot with a wonderful view of the courtyard. A wonderful gift was waiting for her. We were all so surprised at the attention to detail with all the surprises. We started with the Focaccia, and We all had the chicken parmesan. Fantastic choices!! Wonderful taste and a hearty plenty. They brought the cake out and the server even offered to sing alone. lol We didn’t make her do that. It was a wonderful night and Kynlee felt so special. Thank you Colletta for an awesome experience for us.
