- JJudyWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe met friends from out of town at True Food, as they were staying at a nearby hotel. We thought we were booking a brunch reservation. Somehow, the reality that brunch is only served on weekends wasn't clear when I made the reservation, so I was a bit disappointed that brunch foods weren't available on a Friday. The food we ordered was tasty, however, & the service was friendly & efficient. The squash pizza was especially good & perfect for splitting. One of the diners was not enthusiastic about his burger (He said it was rather dry...), but we all appreciated being able to sit, eat slowly, & chat eagerly without being rushed by the server.More infoTrue Food Kitchen - BethesdaPrice: Moderate• American• Bethesda•4.4

We ended with the donuts, which were a bit much and not super special. We would have preferred a different dessert. We were celebrating an anniversary, and they did make it special with a bit of sparkling wine and a sparkler on the table, as well as a card. We saw a number of special celebrations for birthdays and such nearby. It is a nice place for a special night.More infoMelinaPrice: Expensive• Greek• North Bethesda•4.8
