Best Gluten Free Restaurants in Shelter Island / San Diego Bay

Service was outstanding and food was great. Fairly loud but could still hear one another. It was Valentines so we expected to pay for that experience but compared to some other places we have visited I didn’t quite see the value. With that said I’d recommend it and we have a great time.

Animae for Valentine’s Day was a worthwhile epicurean adventure. Highest recommendation. Was it on the expensive side? Yes. One of the most expensive steaks I’ve ever eaten. Worth it. As the server said…decadent and unctuous. And the bonchon was perfect. Would have preferred to sit next to my date instead of across from, but I totally get it. Only so many tables and so much space. Our server was attentive, engaging, just the right amount of funny, and enhanced the experience. Every plate surpassed expectations by the 4oz A5 Miyazaki steak and deconstructed tuna crudo were my favorites.

Fabulous, authentic Italian food. We came specifically to this restaurant during our Coronado visit because the owners are fantastic, staff is friendly and food is top notch. It was our third time there and they haven’t dropped the ball since they opened 5 years ago. We’ll be back! The pastas and salads are wonderful. We will try the pizza next visit as everyone was raving about them!

Definitely one of the best places we’ve dined at (familiar with the top end of restaurants in LA and San Diego), amazing view, service and the deluxe romance package for Valentine’s Day was amazing. 10/10 highly recommend.

Visiting our daughter from Chicago for the week. Mister As did not disappoint. The ambiance, food and service was exceptional. Izzy was engaging and attentive to assure our dining experience was extraordinary. We were seated w a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything was brought out at a timely manner and we never felt rushed. Best Caesar salad w every leaf laced w dressing . The king salmon Wellington was unlike any salmon I’ve ever tried. The braised short rib was flavorful n simply superb (not fatty). The rack of lamb along w lamb stuffed cherry tomatoes was also delicious. There r so many fine restaurants in SD, but this by far one to revisit for us.
