I would suggest making a reservation as it was full when we dined on a Friday. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great, tasty drinks (the Tavi Spritz is my new favorite drink) and good advice on food. We started with the half order of fried chicken hummus. Creamy hummus topped with chucks of fried chicken and amazing salsa verde. So good! The fresh pita and olive oil and spices served with it were perfect. I loved the crispy halloumi. Crispy and hot drizzled with honey and on the best citrus and nut base. Every bite was a flavor bomb. ❤️ The lamb kofta had nice char and flavor , served on some spicy spread with tomatoes and yogurt to cool it off. The sujuk pide is big. A thin bread wrapped around tender meat and cheese with tomatoes on top. Filling but so good! We didn’t have room for dessert because we enjoyed the lunch so much. I would definitely go back and try more. And more crispy halloumi!More infoShayaPrice: Expensive• Israeli• Uptown•4.9
- SSabrinaMississippi •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe (7 of us) ate at Luke on Christmas Day. We were seated near the door which wasn’t ideal but wasn’t bad. The streetcar periodically going by made the noise level high because of our proximity to the door. The service was excellent in spite of it being a holiday and the restaurant being packed. The menu had nice variety. The two best items we had were the Crispy Brussel Sprouts and the Matzo Ball Soup. The worst thing we had was the Hanger Steak. It was ordered “medium” and came out bleeding. It was also rubbery. We returned it and that person ordered something else. They were completely okay with this and removed it from the bill. The Trout Almandine was good with the fish being extremely fresh. We recommend Luke and will return.More infoLukePrice: Moderate• French• Central Business District•4.6
- BBethNew Orleans / Louisiana •8 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoHad a 7 pm reservation on Christmas Eve. Arrived early & went to the bar. Bartender was great & so were our French 75 & Old Fashion. We were seated by 7:30 which was fine since we could see they were packed & we were enjoying talking to the bartender. Gumbo was very good & so were the Lamb & Lentils and the Salmon. I could have done with more than 1/2 of 1 fingerling potato, but let’s face it, I really didn’t need it. Dessert was Bread pudding and Crème Brûlée. Both very nice. Overall a great, relaxing experience. Service was exceptional. We’ll return for their brunch for sure.More infoApollinePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Uptown•4.7
- BBonnieNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoMy husband and I came to the restaurant to pay homage to the great Chess Master, Paul Morphy, and the restaurant was a way to visit the place. The house belonged to the prominent Morphy family and they have a small room dedicated to him with a chess board and a photo of the great Chess Master. Brennan's is THE place to have brunch! They are justly famous for the quality of the food. AMAZING: Blueberry Cornmeal Cake, Seafood Gumbo, Eggs Sardou, Eggs Hussarde, all the sides and try the New Orleans Style Coffee.More infoBrennan'sPrice: Expensive• Creole• French Quarter•4.7
