- JJacobChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined todayService was impressive. Constant supply of water, great timing between meals, waiter was excellent. New plates between meals. Food was awesome. Sweet potato latkes had the classic latke texture and flavor with an added creaminess and sweetness from the sweet potato. The falafel was very well seasoned and the sweet creaminess of the beet tzatziki was complemented perfectly by the savory, slightly grittiness of the tahini sauce. The harissa crusted halibut was perfectly cooked flakey fish with a beautifully salty dashi mushroom broth. The harissa crust itself had a cheese-forward flavor not unlike cheez-itz, but in a good way, brightened up by shavings of lemon zest. The frozen yogurt with olive oil and sea salt was a bit surprising in that it was more cheesy than I had expected it to be. The yogurt was great and the drops of olive oil carried a salty punch to them and had hardened ever so slightly from the coldness of the yogurt. The burnt honey cake was great. Tall light multi-layered cake with light burnt honey whipped cream and some other warm spices like cinnamon. The honey cake tasted eerily similar to cinnamon teddy grahams from when I was a kid. The meal was very good, with creative twists on classic dishes that were enhanced by bold flavors. The nostalgic elements of flavors from my childhood were special. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Ema, and if you’re ever in Chicago to try Aba as well. Both are great restaurants.More infoEma - GlenviewPrice: Moderate• Mediterranean• Glenview•4.7

Not a budget place to eat, but rather a high quality restaurant with excellent service and food!More infoDaisies ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Logan Square•4.8
- AAlejandraChicago / Illinois •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had Afternoon Tea for Valentine's Day for $78 per person. Very reasonable prize for Chicago and for the amount and quality of food served. Tea variety on the menu was great. Items on the trays were very good and very filling. Most people cannot finish it all. We were offered tea and food refills which is rare when having afternoon tea anywhere so it was a nice gesture from The Drake Palm Court. Our server Azmir was super friendly and courteous and did a great job. The Palm Court hostess at the entrance was very kind and friendly, sitting us on our desired table, previously requested in the reservation. This place is a Chicago classic and noise level is high since it is always packed. We highly recommend the Palm Court not only for Afternoon Tea but for lively dinners.More infoThe Palm CourtPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.6
- MMorganChicago / Illinois •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFrom the start, the experience was fantastic. We were a bit early so we grabbed drinks at the bar. We got the Pear Fizz (nice and light, not too sweet) and a Barringer’s Whiskey Sour. Do yourself a favor and get the Lobster Bisque (or 12). It is absolutely fantastic. Our Mains- Grilled Chilean Salmon, Crab & Lobster Stuffed Shrimp, and extra sides of Truffle Fries. Everything was delicious. It was the best meal we have had in years! In addition to the food, the staff was kind and welcoming, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. It was a great date night, but I would also be happy to bring my friend and gab over martinis. Honestly, a 10/10 and it is our new favorite restaurant!More infoBarringer's RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• American• Fish Creek•4.8

We had the octopus sopecitos, lamb biriyani, chai and rasmali tres leches cake and they were all so delicious.
