Best Lunch Restaurants in Alamo Heights

I took my visiting family to celebrate Christmas for a Christmas Eve afternoon dinner and our belated anniversary dinner. It was our first visit. The reserve table was waiting, the service was very professional [even though our waiter got part of our order wrong — but everything was quickly corrected]. There were plenty of wonderful choices for my vegetarian daughter and grandchildren with dietary restrictions. All the food was cooked to perfection. All the dishes were packed with flavor for a subtle gourmand experience. The wine list was impressive, but I had to forego tasting on my doctor’s order. Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying well cook food that was serve with an artistic presentation. I will definitely return more often.

This was our second meal in two days here at Brasserie Mon Chou Chou. I can’t say thank you enough to the fantastic wait staff and wonderful chef (sous chef, etc). The experience was a joy from the very start until our departure. We enjoyed ourselves and relished every bite. If we had time to return and further explore the menu we would! Wonderful food amazing service and a great atmosphere

Another great meal at Clementine! Service was outstanding as well -- attentive but not intrusive, as well as very helpful with the menu. We (my wife and I) shared a beet salad and baked brie with truffle. She had their salmon and I had their Maine scallops. Great seafood prepared perfectly: moist and seared well, served with perfect complementary garnishes. We shared their Clementine crunch bar for dessert: just perfect as a light finish for our meal. Our cocktails were also delightful.

Ruth is amazing and always a delightful server! Try the salsa de mujer!
