- RRyanChicago / Illinois •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe have previously dined at other Roosters locations in Charlotte, but this was our first time at this new Ballantyne location. The food was very good as we expected based on our visits to other Roosters locations. The atmosphere is nice - modern, open, clean. We were there for Valentine's Day lunch on a Friday - I'm glad we made reservations because almost every table was filled (it was more crowded than I was expecting for lunch time). That being said, there was enough space between tables that we did not feel crowded or cramped; there was some energetic noise but it wasn't too loud (we could easily hear each other talking at our table). The service was friendly and good, although it was slightly slower than expected which I can understand based on the large crowd of people who entered shortly after we arrived (the waitress was busy!). I would recommend it and will be back again in the future - I'm glad Roosters now has a Ballantyne location much closer to my home and that it's as good as I hoped it would be!More infoRooster's BallantynePrice: Expensive• American• Ballantyne•4.5
- EErinCoastal Georgia •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe restaurant was very quiet for 6:30 but it was the day before Valentine’s Day. My husband has the “Brunch for Dinner” chicken and waffles. WOW! Perfectly cooked and breaded, lightly seasoned chicken tenders served on top of a fluffy waffle and served with hot syrup. I was envious. I enjoyed the French dip. Steak was perfectly medium rare and fries were crisp and lightly seasoned. My only complaint was the au jus was very salty. I paired it with their Pinot Noir which was really terrific. The server was attentive without being intrusive. Overall food was excellent! And the meal was truly enjoyed. Keep in mind, though, this is not a romantic dining venue, but an awesome place to take the family or casual friends. More diner-ish than romantic. Go for the chicken and waffles!More infoEggspectation - CharlottePrice: Moderate• American• Ballantyne•4.5
