It’s simple really, our calling card is sustainable Scottish seafood. Our name comes from the Gaelic word for fish. It’s a wee bit tricky to pronounce, but it’s no bother if guests don’t get it quite right. With delicious fresh produce served by our very own Head Chef, Sean Currie, you'll feel the energy in the way we go about things – our warm welcome, enthusiasm for what we do, and, of course, a splash of Glaswegian banter.Serving sustainable Scottish seafood is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why £1 on every bill goes to The Firth Forth Lobster Hatchery, who hatch, rear and release lobsters to ensure stocks remain plentiful for future generations. This was our first time eating here & we found it to be excellent. I’d made a mix up with the booking & they were very helpful & accommodating. The service was friendly & efficient. All of the food was excellent- 2 of us had seabream and 2 had steak. I’d highly recommend it and would visit again.

On our first time in Glasgow we wanted some authentic Scottish cuisine and this restaurant did not disappoint! It was delicious, fresh and tasty. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed, fine dining. But given the excellent quality, the cost was very reasonable. Would definitely come back here again and recommend to others visiting this vibrant city.

We had a delicious lunch from the Christmas menu. All four of us enjoyed the soup (you cannot beat soup as a starter at Number 16 - I’ve not had a poor one yet!) and turkey with all the trimmings. Our meals were rounded off with 2 x cheese, a chocolate pave and a coconut panna cotta. Again, all were delicious. Staff were great, as always, and the atmosphere was lively with all diners sporting their hats from the Christmas crackers. A fabulous, family lunch!
