Best Lunch Restaurants in Anstey

We had a lovely experience at host this afternoon. We had heard it was the best roast in stortford & wanted to check it out! I had a vegetarian roast which is so hard to find a decent one & it was beautiful! Lovely cauliflower cheese, yorkshire & roast potatoes. The meat eaters I was with all loved theirs too. We finished with sticky toffee pudding which was to die for! Thankyou to Giles too for great service & giving us a really lovely afternoon.

The food was amazing. I went for the ribeye and my fiancé had a pizza. I kid you not this ribeye was one of if not the best I've ever had, it was seasoned and cooked to perfection 👌 my fiancé also loved her pizza, it was a very good size and I had to help her finish it 😅 service was also really great and we can't wait to go back.

Great location. Great food. Love the menu. Some very interesting dishes. Loved the guiness and marmite butter on sourdough. My venison suet pudding was delicious. Great service. Lovely staff.

First visit ( needed somewhere convenient for airport and a decent Sunday roast). Had trouble finding actual entrance to building but once in, was impressed. Lots of staff do no waiting around. It was a freezing cold day and not very warm inside the building but it soon warmed up once more people arrived. My friend was on crutches but we were put on a table up a level so she struggled with steps. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. It was hot, plentiful and delicious. No complaints at all with the food. Good value for money!

Food was lovely and plentiful. Really flavoursome. We had the mushrooms and chicken wings for starters and teriyaki chicken for mains. We stayed there night and had breakfast which again was very tasty with locally sourced food. Highly recommended.
