Great experience: server was welcoming and attentive; relaxed ambience with beautiful view; and generous portion of fish and chips, with well spiced fries!

We celebrated my friend's birthday at 230 Forest today. We sat outside on their beautiful patio and enjoyed the great weather and perfect food. We ordered fish tacos and the candied walnut and salmon salad. Pure deliciousness all around! The service was excellent and attentive. I have dined at 230 Forest since 1998. I love it every time! I highly recommend this Laguna Beach treasure.

The view is amazing and so is the staff. They even made sure we were warm as we were sitting outside near the ocean. Food was good. We had Ribeye steak which was tasty and ordered sides of brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin. large order for sides enough for two or more people. Drinks were good but on the pricey side. Expected as this is the beach and hotel is going through a reno. Beautiful spot! The people that work here are great and music was perfect! Definitely a place we will be visiting again and again.

Enjoyed their rooftop with a wonderful view of the ocean. Reservation for 2 was at 5:45 and they sat us very quickly. All employees were super friendly and helpful. We ordered the cornbread appetizer, a bowl of their clam chowder soup and a 3 item barbecue combo. Everything was delicious, especially the soup. Also had a very well made old fashioned. Had a great time and felt the price was well worth it…Would definitely come back again.
