I started in my grandfather’s restaurant & worked my way up to running one of the most successful restaurants in NYC - Patsy’s Italian Restaurant. My grandfather worked his way up in the restaurant industry in the 1930's and '40s and in 1942 opened his first Italian restaurant, The Sorrento. When it came time to name our new restaurant, we decided on IL Sorrento in honor of my grandfather. I know my grandparents & my mom are smiling down on us with approval. I've lived in Westchester since 1984 & have always dreamed about opening an Italian restaurant here .. now the dream is a reality. My family & I believe that having a successful restaurant is a simple formula - give people what they want: Good Food, Good Service and Good Value. Ate there for the first time on 1/4/25. The restaurant now goes by Il Gusto. The fried calamari was perfectly cooked. The filet mignon risotto was tender and delicious the two veal dishes were tender and full of flavor. We took our mom to celebrate her 84th birthday. As an Italian born in Italy, she knows food. She asked if we could come back again! That my friends says it all! We'll be seeing you soon. Grazie mille!

Fabulous dining experience to start off the New Year! The restaurant was decorated so beautifully for the holidays! I treated my Mom and her friend out for an early dinner for New Year’s Day. I loved the Chicken Milanese with salad. My Mom enjoyed the Butternut Squash soup with mashed potatoes. Her friend loved the gnocchi’s and crème brûlée. The service was excellent thanks to Axle, James and Benjamin. The hostesses were lovely and helpful. The manager Danny stopped by to say hello too. Thanks to Kevin the bartender who always has a smile and is so kind. The music was great touch too.
