Scalini Fedeli was opened by chef-owner Michael Cetrulo in 1995 and very quickly became New Jersey's highest rated Italian restaurant. Rated excellent by the New York Times in 1996 and New Jersey's favorite restaurant in Zagat's Survey in 2001 and New Jersey Monthly's best Italian and top 25 overall in 2007. Highlights from the menu include soft egg yolk raviolo with black truffle butter, pignoli crusted salmon with artichoke and mint agnolotti in a light tomato and basil broth and braised short ribs of beef with a cherry pepper and port glaze. Set in an historic building built in 1740, the atmosphere is slightly formal with Tuscan style vaulted ceilings finished with Venetian plaster. Tapestry and antique mirrors adorn the walls.

The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance.     The dining experience at Cafe Vincotto last evening was excellent. The restaurant was decorated with balloon hearts on the ceiling which was both clever and colorful. The owners are both so kind and sincerely happy to serve you. We had a delicious meal, both homemade pasta dishes, with fresh salads as starters. We were served hot food and in a timely manner, not rushed. Fresh gelato for dessert. We enjoy this restaurant and wish the owners much continued success.

    A fantastic culinary experience. Our waiter Luis was exceptionally attentive to my needs and even anticipated requests and fulfilled them. The chef Alex was not only thorough but repeatedly cleaned the grill throughout the experience which always makes the food taste better. Really enjoyable experience and I look forward to my next visit.

    the valentines price fixe dinner was very good. crab cake appetizer delicious. husband had lamb carpacio and then venison which he said were both reallly good. i had the halibut and it was delicious. parking is easy and restaurant is not too noisy.
