Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Central Saanich

We were a group of 5. Started with happy hour appetizers which were generous in their sizeand very tasty. Entrees too were a decent sized, served hot and also quite tasty. I asked for med rare steak and it was done just right. Best of all, was our server Lindsay - she provided friendly and efficient service. We all had the Pot De Creme for dessert - so delish!! All around, a great dining experience at Lure.

Arrived at 7pm and had reserved a place in the corner so I could enjoy a quiet dinner with my date. The server was excellent, no rushing whatsoever (I later found out the kitchen closes at 8pm). Drinks were served promptly and dinner was hot and delicious, (I had the smoked chicken in cream sauce on pasta - very tasty). Then I notice most of the patrons were gone and that's when I found out it closes at 8pm,it was 8:15. She said, 'no rush, can I get you a cup of coffee'. We had a lovely evening and left at 8:36pm. I rarely if ever give a 20%tip - that night was the exception. I will go back for sure.

This is a return visit for us during happy hour. We are a couple who met with friends. We were well received, comfortably seated, lots of room at the table, service was excellent. Large portions provided more than ample meal. Temperature in the restaurant was comfortable and noise levels were acceptable. We had the mushroom burger and my partner had the quesadillas. The restaurant was accommodating enough to replace chicken with tofu as my partner is vegetarian. We will be back again. Thank you.

We enjoyed a delightful birthday "Bruncheon" with group of friends at Alpina today. Although the dense mist shrouded the view towards Finlayson Arm, we sat in the bright picture window and enjoyed the feeling of being in the clouds. The food was delicious and arrived promptly without any of us feeling rushed. We lingered for quite a while over our brunch, but never felt pressured by our very attentive server. We were moved by the lovely finishing touch at the end of our meal: a special birthday message in beautiful script from the kitchen accompanied by chocolates! It was a very nice way indeed to end a happy Sunday meal. We look forward to returning soon to this special place which is closer than we thought to Victoria but feels a world away. Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable birthday!
