Standing high above the city on the 10th floor of the City Club Apartments, at 309 Vine Street; resurrected from the history that has stood here before our time, Shires' Rooftop is inspired by the first amusement resort in this part of the country, Shires' Garden.     We were there Saturday reservation 11 AM. They got us right to our table. They are family friendly got to see Santa with a six-year-old special-needs child. Other families were there too. Thank you for the wonderful hosts in the front, our waitress and the manager Darrell for their hospitality. If you prefer not to be around the children, the restaurant is so big. There’s lots of other quiet places to sit.

    As always, Somm Wine Bar and Kitchen hits the mark. We took friends from our “East End” neighborhood just outside of downtown and what a “win”. Such an easy route, there in minutes, avoiding delays of other more complicated rates, especially now. Somm is top notch. I’m betting you’ll be excited about this one. We loved everything about our evening.

    The food was great and the drink offerings were delightful!! Tableside making of cacio e pepe in a cheese wheel is a fun experience. Went for my birthday with my hubby and we had 4 courses with accompanying drinks and our bill was around $200; which I found very reasonable for the amount and quality of food and drinks. We will recommend this place to friends!!
