Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Dorchester

Visited Bath for Valentine's Day and The Square Brassiere and Piano Bar was our post Valentine's evening venue. We were booked in for 7:30pm and expected to be there for a couple of hours or so. From the moment we entered the premises we felt we were special. The staff were polite and attentive, the venue was welcoming and nicely laid out and the pianist was fun and accommodating regarding requests. We had the set Valentine's menu, none of which disappointed, delivering a variety of choices within it's framework. We had a great evening, eventually leaving at closing time. Wonderful experience on the chefs counter. Every dish was beautiful and tasty. The vegetarian options were great. Particularly loved the butternut squash. Service was impeccable. Couldn’t have asked for a more lovely experience.

Had the mixed grill, thought it could have been better: for example onion rings grilled tomatoe and chop maybe as l have had at other pubs. Also specials board displayed with items not available.

A while since we’ve been to The Marlborough Tavern. No particular reason hasten to add. Lovely Valentines Day menu. Enjoyed what we ordered although both meals could have been served hotter(as in heat not spice). Not too noisy although personally not a lover of dogs in restaurants. Will be back.

We ate here at the end of a 10 mile walk and received a very friendly welcome and excellent service.
