Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Hilton Head Island

Our lunch today at Chez George was absolutely outstanding in every way. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegantly inviting and charming. Eric, our waiter, could not have been any more approachable and accommodating from answering questions to responding to the requests we had about our meal. The dishes themselves were exquisite. My wife had the smoked bacon, asparagus, tomato, mimolette cheese omelet with a side of expertly and lovingly made French fries as only a graduate of French cuisine could make them. While my Bouillabaisse arrived with a bountiful assortment of fish and seafood wading in a sublime seafood broth that married the distinguishing harvests and tastes of Provenance. Our dining experience today at Chez George set the stage for many return visits to this wonderful restaurant. It was the perfect venue to welcome 2025.

Food was fabulous. All six of us raved about our entrees and appetizers. Our waitress was phenomenal. Very personable, helpful and knew what she was doing. We will come back whenever we are on the island.

All around cozy, inviting, wonderful evening. The family owned restaurant/gallery provides unique Entrees, interesting art pieces, and music. Made the evening out for my husbands birthday, quite special.

My husband ordered the duck & he said his was cooked perfectly - medium rare. The scalloped potatoes & veggies (green beans & carrots) were also delicious. He cleaned his plate. I had the smoked salmon appetizer which was good, not much different than what can be found in Costco or ordering online - it came with a lovely horseradish & dill sauce. I also had the crab, avocado appetizer which was more interesting. We had an early reservation which is what I prefer to eating later, but there were people waiting by the time we left around 6:30.
