'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch. Good experience, lovely decor, good staff though they did overhear the convo and joined in. Not sure what I think about that! With all of these types of restaurants, I think the food is over priced but that is the way of the world. I would feel better paying a cover charge and a charge for service, as that is why I go there, versus over priced food.

I booked lunch pre rugby test match. The venue was very busy, but in a good way. It was incredible how the staff seamlessly handled a venue full of excited rugby fans. Steak was perfect, sides were tasty and sommelier’s wine recommendation spot on. Service was friendly, efficient and professional. I will certainly be returning.
