Sunday roast was very good, roast sirloin of beef and belly pork roast had a lot of flavour with plenty of vegetables and gravy. Yorkshire puddings are tasty and the cauliflower cheese is lovely and cheesy and included in the price. A very good quality meal for a very reasonable price.

Fabulous lunch, great guys, so friendly and knowledgeable but efficient too. Got to be the best Sunday Lunch in Cardiff…highly recommend.

Delicious meal (venison beautifully cooked) with friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Want to keep the Marlborough a secret for it has become our go to place.

Despite being exceptionally busy in the weekend before Xmas, we were seated quickly, our waitress was extremely helpful, friendly and prompt with service. The festive menu had good choice although our group of 6 are from the Al l’carte as well. Food was excellent and piping hot, despite the restaurant being rammed. A pleasant buzzy, festive atmosphere.

Visited The Gate this evening with my family for my brother birthday. We all really enjoyed our food, definitely quality and value for money! Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Overall great experience and would recommend to anyone!
