The Seven Stars is a 16th century country inn situated in the heart of Surrey, close to both Dorking and Reigate, with Gatwick airport seven miles away. It has wealth of character which includes a large inglenook fireplace, beamed ceilings, recently renovated gardens and patios along with ample parking.An extension that now forms the main dining area was completed in 1996 and won the British Heritage Development Award for that year.The Seven Stars has a great atmosphere, we have strived to keep it a village pub where friends and locals meet up to wine, dine and and enjoy freshly cooked food, sourced from the local area.     A beautiful spot nestled in the Surrey Hills. Food was lovely, high quality and neatly presented. Service was great and everyone very friendly. A great find!

    One of the best meals we’ve had for a long while, food was superb and we (6 of us) pretty much covered the menu! My only comment would be that service wasn’t the best, we had quite a variety of wine across courses, they hold the wine at the service station so they can pour (which is lovely) but they don’t keep a proper check so we sat around quite a bit waiting to be topped up, also at each course the wine arrived either part way through or in terms of the start course - after we’d finished Perfectly pleasant, nothing was too much trouble and the matre de is superb when involved

    We finally got round to trying this restaurant having lived opposite for FOUR YEARS! The staff are so attentive and inviting, we were greeted with two glasses of Prosecco as we were celebrating an anniversary. We ate meatballs, fritto misto, carbonara and pizza - all very very good! The pizza in particular was lovely. A nice thin crisp base and delicious sauce. We also shared a tiramisu - oh my goodness! One of the best. It got a bit noisy but the restaurant was full, as always, and it didn’t take away from our experience. 10/10, will absolutely be coming back.
