Excellent meal in Christmassy surroundings. Attentive staff who were very apologetic over a delayed dessert due to technical difficulties in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend them and plan to return (regularly!).

Lovely place with different little areas within the rooms to suit different group sizes. We had a group of 5 and the food was excellent. A good range to suit all tastes from pie or fish and chips to venison, smoked carrot or pork belly. All beautifully presented with amazing flavour. Service was excellent with lovely, friendly staff. A great experience especially as it was for my birthday

Lovely evening, with very good service. Especially from the very attentive gentleman from Serbia, and the gentleman from Argentina! So sorry to have forgotten their names. A very special place, with so much history.

Mist impressed. It was our wedding anniversary lunch with friends and we had a great time . The food was excellent. Good portion size and beautifully cooked. Met with husband’s dietary requirements with no fuss and bother. The service was excellent, friendly and eager to help. We will be back to sample the legendary Sunday lunch!

We had a very good three course meal I had pate to start my partner had tiger prawns We both had chicken for main course and we both had a dessert i had chocolate brownie while my partner had treacle tart and cream We both had a glass of wine Overall the meal was very good and not over priced
