Best Restaurants with Private Rooms in Old Greenwich

It’s my favorite restaurant in the area. Reminds me of the NYC vibe. Service is excellent, food is excellent, drink specials are excellent. The price is like NYC.

This review is long overdue! Our visit to Terra Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse was absolutely wonderful. We had a great experience from start to finish, the meats were fresh, delicious, and of excellent quality. The salad bar was amazing, with plenty of fresh options, but the real star of the show was the incredible variety of meats. Every cut was perfectly cooked, and we were pleasantly surprised to see salmon and shrimp included in the rodízio price. As always, we will definitely be back!

We went to George on Valentine's Day. It was not crowded -- it was an early dinner because we had show tickets. The dining area filled before we left. The restaurant is cozy on a cold night, and there was a lovely fireplace in the main room. It's not one of those high-ceiling noisy places -- it's really like one's own dining room where there is quiet conversation. Staff was especially attentive and professional. We started with a plate of fresh oysters.The specials were interesting, and it was hard to choose. We both had sole cooked in different ways. Delicious! The fresh broccoli spears were perfectly al dente. The dessert menu was large and tempting, but I had lemon sorbet since most restaurants do not offer it. I also had a lovely Sangiovese wine. The bar area was a bit more casual in atmosphere, but still a great "date night" destination. Plenty of parking.

It was my first time there and I loved every minute. We had a fabuluous dinner, the server had her timing perfectly, and the food was outstanding. I had the eggplant as a main course and loved it. Best eggplant ever....highly recommend it. We also had dumplings, soup, and drinks. I was so pleasantly surprised as I don't dine at Japense restuarants often but I can't wait to go back. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable!
