Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Westchase

We needed a nice mid afternoon middle of the week meal and we knew Amalfi was open. We are monthly (at least) patrons of the restaurant but never at 3:00 PM. The just right background music and 5 table occupancy both helped the decor ( that is most likely overlooked during the 7:00 PM usually full restaurant experience) was now fully enjoyed and appreciated. The pace of work in the kitchen allowed the chef to deliver really excellent cuisine and beautiful presentations. Tuna tartare, the restaurant cured salmon on arugula salad and the perfect wild mushrooms and truffle pasta made the middle of the day repast perfect! We will try it again soon!

We love it everything, the food, the dessert the ambient everything

The exterior leading to the entrance door is stunning. With all the wood detail, you can see the build was thoughtfully planned out. Upon entering you're surrounded by wood detail and live beautiful plants and palms. Our favorite appetizers were the coconut shrimp and fried oysters. Both had so much flavor. We shared the el pescador grouper sandwich with wonderfully crispy fries and tasty sauces to accompany them. We finished with a dessert, the quattro leches, absolutely amazing! And we were given a free dessert, for our wait on the entree, of chocolate pie. This slice of pie was heaven! It was so creamy and included the flavor (and smell) of espresso! A must have! The bar area was nice and next time we will sit at the bar and view sports on the TV.

Our waitress Brooke was amazing. The food was good and the atmosphere was great, but the service was even better.

I went to lunch at Stray Horse because the JW Marriott was the venue I was attending a seminar. I arrived earlier then other attendees and the restaurant got full very quickly. I was able to get my order in before the restaurant filled up. There were four people total assisting the crowd. I have never seen anyone move as quickly and assisting everyone with their needs. Even though they were busy they made sure I was taken care of. The chef salad was exceptional. I went to eat there the next day for lunch...need I say more.
