- JJoeKansas City / Kansas โข7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoPerfect Wedding Anniversary dinner date night with my Wife! Sea Bass was exquisite with the right flavor and texture. Bone in prime rib and grand marnier soufflรฉ was sensational! Our server Turner was very kind, attentive to our needs and had great knowledge of the menu! Sous chef Adrian also was a pleasure to meet with! They are a a true asset to your team and both deserve accolades! This classic steakhouse continues to have the class and is a true gem in KC downtown! We are loyal patrons and will be back definitely for more! Drs. - KKurtKansas City / Kansas โข2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoFrom the moment we checked in - and we were early, we were greeted, and taken to our table. We were the first in the room for the evening. Our waiter greeted us, and quickly gave us a cocktail menu, and full menus. I explained that I had not eaten lunch and was famished. He literally suggested a great lemondrop cocktail to take off the edge, after serving some waters, I ordered his suggestion and was completely amazed. it was great! and I ordered the cheese and charcuterie board to start. Our guests arrived and they ordered a cocktail and he suggested that he go over the menu with us. I had the Special of the House which is a filet, covered in Blue Cheese and Figs. I also had a great small ceasar salad, and the house soup which is a corn and crab bisque. SO GOOD! Our entrees came on time, after we had finished our soup, salad and cheese board, I ordered a glass of wine with dinner and it was perfect. He suggested a dessert and we were too full. So happy that we continue to go to this Kansas City legendary memory - we will be back again.More infoPierpont's at Union StationPrice: Expensiveโข Steakhouseโข Crossroads / Freight District / Boulevardโข4.8
- GGrantKansas City / Kansas โข4 reviews4.0Dined on Dec 4, 2024Practically located in the Ambassador Hotel lobby, the ambiance is surprisingly quiet and relaxed. Seats were comfortable and the servers were friendly. There is no hurry here - so thatโs either going to be awesome for your party as your conversation at the table will not be interrupted or it will frustrate you to no end if you are on a strict timetable. You are not going to be hurried off so they can get another group at your table. I found this very satisfying. Dinner and drinks are served at a relaxed pace. The bread service was outstanding with the cinnamon butter (although a bit pricey - more on this later.) We had the shrimp pasta and braised rib. The pasta was a little on the al dente side - which suited me great. Shrimp was flavorful, had a little kick to it. Braised rib was outstanding, the Demi sauce was amazing. No complaints about the food - it was very, very, good. There are a couple of minor irritations. The temperature was cool and we had a breezy draft hit us through out the dinner. The fact that it was 38 degrees outside didnโt help. This isnโt a deal breaker by any stretch. Price point - this is tricky. For two of us with no drinks and the bread appetizer the bill was $100. (Tax and tip included). We had shrimp pasta and braised short rib - not steak and salmon. And $10 for small loaf of bread seemedโฆ a bit much. The food was greatโฆbut was it almost $40/plate good? I realize prices are going up and Iโm not just paying for the food but the ambiance as well but it seemed a bit high given some of the other options in KC. Having said that - the food was top shelf and we had a very good time.More infoThe American Reserve Bar & GrillePrice: Moderateโข Americanโข Downtown / River Marketโข3.8
