Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Mira Mesa

We ordered the orange crush roll and the sea spider roll it was a fantastic pairing! The orange crush had the richness of the salmon and cream cheese, a touch of spice with the spicy tuna, and the crunch of the shrimp tempura. The sea spider added a touch of welcoming acidity with the sauce on top of the crunch from the soft shell crab and the spicy crab inside. The best part of dinner was the Chef’s Special 15 piece nigiri. The 5 pieces of toro was a beautiful touch. The quality of the toro was the best I’ve had in San Diego! Would definitely recommend for people trying to get some quality sushi for a good value, would go again!

Mackenzie was our server today. She was so friendly. Asked us all about our day and recognized us as regulars and asked about our retirement. We really appreciated her service! All of the staff who recognize us go out of their way to come and say Hi. Kyle, RJ, Brandon, Lauren, Meg, they always welcome us with a smile and great service.

Dalton was Fantastic!! Top tier tea service!! Everything was exquisite and beautifully presented, thoroughly explained, and happily enjoyed. We weren’t made to feel rushed which is so important when enjoying tea with a friend. The manager Jenna checked on our table and cheerfully asked for our feedback. We were incredibly impressed with their desire to improve what is already a phenomenal experience. My only recommendation to handicap patrons is that the parking is further down and the entrance without stairs is on the side. They were very accommodating and allowed us in 3 minutes before opening so we wouldn’t have to stand in the cold wind with our canes. Definitely empathetic people that prioritize customer service. I’m pretty sure we just found our new favorite neighborhood restaurant!!!!

Absolutely outstanding!! My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary, it was our first time dining here and we were floored. Our server, Jillian, guided us through the menu and gave us amazing recommendations! From the 1st course to the last, she made everything special. We ended with a small beignet tree and the house made cookies, along with a super thoughtful anniversary card. Yes it is pricey, but so worth it. The food, service, and ambience were beyond exemplary. Thank you Jillian and Steak 48!
