Best Restaurants for Birthdays in U Street Corridor

Lovely Valentines (day late) dinner. Fantastic hostess Noemi found a great table for us and then helped me with my coat. Great service and the Sea Bass was done perfectly—seriously the best I have had in a while. Super cool aesthetic and connected to the lovely Kimpton. Great location in Penn Quarter. Was a great atmosphere for getting dressed up and having a night—with you partner or friends.

I made reservations with OpenTable during Valentin's Day weekend. We came in and got seated immediately. Our server was Alexa. She was phenominal with giving suggestions for drinks, food, and specials. I got the heavenly eggs, and my fiance got collard greens dip. Excellent. I went with the chicken and specialty waffle of the month, which was red velvet. Crispy, flaky waffle, not overbearing seasoned chicken, and give you the option of whitw or dark meat with you waffles. I also had a side of yams and macaroni & cheese. My fiance got banana pudding waffles and a side of lobster mac. Everything was delicious. We got the special dessert, which was the Strawberry Trifle. So good. Not overly sweet. 10/10 recommend. Now I have got to find the number for them to cater my wedding!

WENT FOR MY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY, (FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE).. IN THE BEGINNING I WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL BUT AFTER A VERY SHORT WHILE, IT WAS DEFINITELY A VIBE!! IM A SKINNY BIG GIRL WHO LOVES TO EAT, AND THE FOOD WAS FOODIN BABY!! PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE, DRINKS WERE OK IF YOU LIKED FRUITY DRINKS (SO I STUCK TO SHOTS)!! LEWIS AND THYNIS ( I PRAY THATS THE CORRECT SPELLING OF THE YOUNG LADY NAME) WERE DEFINITELY DOIN THEIR BIG ONE!! GREAT PERSONALITY, VIBE, SERVICE, EVERYTHING!!! THEY DEFINITELY MADE MY BIRTHDAY WORTH IT!!!!

It was my second time there. Even better than the first time. It was a work celebration. Amazing food, ambiance, and service. Franklin and his team served us extremely well Thank you.

With so much hype behind the name, you are never sure that a place will live up to the expectation, well that wasn't an issue here. The whole experience was amazing. We arrived early and waited less then 5 mins to get the absolute best table overlooking the new snow fallen harbor. The food was amazing and the drinks were on point. I highly recommend the Beef Wellington and definitely add the truffle butter !! You should expect that a dinner for 2 will be pricy, but it was a fantastic foodie treat.
