Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Upper Greenville

If you haven't visited Joey Restaurant at North Park, it's a must. The service alone is top tier! You're greeted with a glass of champagne. I don't know if this is a holiday thing or not but it was a nice touch. Our waiter was so pleasant and kind. The manager was very accommodating and even sent complimentary drinks to our table as a thank you. She didn't have to do that but my friend and I really appreciated it, felt seen and felt valued... not just another customer. When you visit you have to try the Korean Fried Cauliflower...chef's kiss! I order two servings because it was so good. Lastly guys, I received a handwritten thank card for visiting... unbelievable! This is how you set yourself apart from the other thousands of restaurants in the city. Thank you all for making my first time so sweet 😋

Nearly flawless experience (again) with personable but unobtrusive service and a kitchen on point. Only area I would change would be the complimentary bread - mix it up w variety and charge a few dollars. Baguette was a little long in the tooth. Overall, one of our all-time favorite, cozy and upscale restaurants.

The food and ambience were amazing! Will definitely be back. Service could be better paced…we waited for longer periods for our check and to order dessert, but the main course came out extremely fast, before our salad. Overall great experience though!

As always, another fabulous dinner at Al’s!!! Christmas Eve there is spectacular and we cannot imagine spending it anywhere else!!! Merry Christmas and see you all soon!!!

Overall super solid and will return. Ken was our waiter, and he (and the rest of the staff) were really great. Thoughts on what we had: ▪️MANGO MEZCALRITA: expensive smoky orange juice ▪️ LUCA PARETTI PROSECCO: really good ▪️ PRETZEL BREAD: super cute and yummy ▪️ TUNA TARTARE: solid and would order again ▪️ CATCH ROLL: loved ▪️ FILET SKEWER: lots of good flavor, might get again ▪️ MEDITERRANEAN BRANZINO: didn’t finish and wouldn’t order again but probably personal taste here. The lemon was strong in the rice and the butter was def present with the fish ▪️ TRUFFLE MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI: super yummy, friend said shrimp didn’t add to the dish
