Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Waikiki

I enjoyed afternoon tea on the Veranda. This was a lovely experience. The tea, sandwiches, desserts and scones were delicious. Service was great and just a fantastic view. This is an experience I will never forget.

TLDR; Parking is located in the Bank of Hawaii building. The entrance to the parking is on Beachwalk, the first driveway on the left, heading down. Parking is FREE with validation for the first 4-hours. The food is good, and there’s live music nightly after 8pm. This was my wife’s and my first time here since their last location, which used to be across from the Hawaii Convention Center, so that was quite some time ago. Since this was Valentine’s Day, we were told they only took reservations. Instead of walking away, we quickly looked through the OpenTable app and found several reservations open for the evening. We were fortunate to find an reservation 30 minutes out, but we could check in early after making our reservation. Check-in is located at the front of their retail store. You will be directed to take the stairs towards the back of the store, which will take you to the second floor of their dining hall; there is an elevator just past the stairs to the right.  After walking the flight upstairs, you are greeted by a host(ess) who will take you to your table, and your waitress will greet you afterward. I ordered the Baby Back Ribs, and my wife ordered the New York Strip Steak. Then we got their famous Hot Fudge Brownie. Everything was very good and well enjoyed! If you’re like me and love your ice cream, I would add two extra scoops to the brownie. My wife would say there’s enough ice cream, and she’d want more whipped cream, but that’s just us as we like to customize our orders. Definitely would suggest coming back again!

Excellent service. The food was exactly how we ordered it. Oysters were fresh and beautifully presented. A must is the Wolfgang salad - juicy tomatoes, sweet onions, roasted red bell peppers, bite sized shrimp, hearty blocks of bacon, all nestled on a bed of iceberg lettuce. The ribeye was tender and juicy. We enjoyed our dinning experience. Parking is validated.

Our waitress and other servers were excellent. Very helpful explaining the menu and attentive through our meal. The food was great, starting with the grilled Brussel sprouts. We all had really creative fish dishes as entrees. I had a seafood paella which was different and delicious. Wednesday was half price wine day. 50% off a Neyers $80 bottle was the topper !

Genius Lounge is a hidden gem in Waikiki! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The service was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience even better. Highly recommend!
