Scalini Fedeli was opened by chef-owner Michael Cetrulo in 1995 and very quickly became New Jersey's highest rated Italian restaurant. Hosted a party of 6 on a busy night at holiday time. Hunter was our server and was simply outstanding, a total pro. Had varied entrees from steak to chicken to fish, all were exceptional. Table was a bit cramped but that's to be expected this time of year. A terrific surprise, had not been before. Already planning our return.

Honestly, I don't know where the negative reviews I read on here came from. My husband and I just ate here this past week and it was every bit as good as it has always been. My standby for an appetizer, the egg-yolk ravioli was just as heavenly as it has always been. My lobster, shrimp and crepe entree was absolutely divine. My husband's veal was delicious! The hostess graciously moved us to a "better table" after we were seated (we didn't even ask) and the ambience was wonderful at both tables. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and funny. It was a wonderful evening and we can't wait to return.
