Best Restaurants for Foodies in ASD-TBD (NA)

we love Askal imaginative and creative fun food and cocktails and wine list small but focussed and well-chosen. the waiting staff were brilliant and it is fun to witness the kitchen staff at work - and seamlessly and calmly at that. some concerns: 1. this is the second time we have scored the seats next to the toilet exit - we miss out on most of the vibes of being at the restaurant. 2. noise levels - we are old and don't need the music 3. food is wonderful but like most restaurants - too much salt. this is not necessary and is not healthy either.. but like i said - we love Askal and will return - but not to those same seats! :)

Wonderful and in creative interpretation of Chinese cuisine . Great fun. Lovely setting and excellent service. No sense of pressure to finish within a set time. Recommended.

We were celebrating an 18th birthday and the experience was wonderful. The food was so good ,the staff couldn't do enough for us..definitely will be back

Meatmaiden is my go-to steakhouse in Melbourne CBD - my family, friends, colleagues and I have been going there since before the pandemic and are very happy it is still a great place to go for the food and the ambiance, combined with excellent service. This occasion was my youngest daughter's 22nd birthday, together with my son's registration of marriage. Everything from the shared plates - burnt ends are the bomb! - to the range and quality of steaks, was very good. I'm keeping Meatmaiden on my favourites list of places to eat in Melbourne, for sure.
