Best Restaurants for Foodies in Hudson Heights

We have dined here many times and the food is usually excellent. This time was not the case. I had to return my burger as it was definitely overcooked. My friend ordered the cob salad and the chicken was also overcooked and the salad overdressed. Since this is an unusual occurrence, I would return with the thought this was a one off. The service was excellent as usual and when my burger was replaced it was excellent.

On the evening of Thursday, December 26, 2024 we dined at Red Rooster & it was a lovely experience. We are a totally blind couple & the staff could not have been more accommodating. Our waitress, Autumn could not have been nicer and more attentive. Each time she put down an item, she told us where she put the item & what each thing was. She made drink recommendations & they were spot on. The food was delicious & we asked if they could cut up our stakes & they did so, willingly and without any hesitation. It was the best dining experience we have ever had. We were honored that the Chef came out & spoke to us about the food. He re-assured us that each time we were there the service would be at the same standards, top notch. The security guard was so nice to escort us to our cab. We highly recommend the Red Rooster for a fabulous dining experience.

There were 5 of us. Everyone's food was good! I had the chicken and waffles. They let me swap out the spicy chicken for wings since I don't eat spicy food. It was delicious. One friend had salmon and rice, the others had some variation of mac and cheese which they all enjoyed.

This experience was a 9/10! I wish the portions were bigger but the quality of the feed was nothing short of wonderful. We will be back very soon.

The location is perfect for a date night. The lighting, the view of the cities, and the service was amazing!
