- SShannynCalgary / Southern Alberta •4 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe food was absolutely delicious. Shared many different plates with friends including the roasted carrots (to die for), the beets, the tomato burrata ( warmed and so much flavor), the cabbage, the ahi tuna, the chicken, the steak and the scallops. Finished with sharing a piece of coconut cake and the butterscotch pudding. All amazing!More infoTen Foot HenryPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Canadian• Calgary•4.8
- TTedCalgary / Southern Alberta •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThree of us recently dined at Vero for the first time. I decided to take a moment to write a review since we were all very impressed with the quality of the service, the ambiance, the quality of the food, and the attention to detail. Two of us had the surf and turf platter and the other had the tagliatelle puttanesca. We also had some olives to start and tiramisu to finish. The suggested wine pairing with the platter was spot on and was not overly expensive. After the first few bites, it soon became apparent that the chef was able to capitalize on the quality and marriage of the ingredients for flavour so did not need to use excessive salt, sweetness or butter as a crutch. While the pasta and the platter offerings were all terrific, I thought the lamb stood out. It was exceptional. Dining at Vero is not cheap but I think it is good value considering the outstanding quality of the food and service. I will definitely be back. By the way, I'm almost positive that I saw Mr. Frank Wong dining at a nearby table. Frank Wong seems to have disappeared from the scene over the past decade or so, but some foodies may recall that "back in the day" Frank Wong was one of the country's most discerning yet reclusive food critics. The fact that Frank Wong chooses to dine at Vero is high praise indeed.More infoVero Bistro ModernePrice: Moderate• Italian• Calgary•4.8
- HHaileyVIPCalgary / Southern Alberta •6 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoBridgette Bar has somehow managed to pair an intimidate dinner party feeling with an exclusive experience, it feels a little like a fancy dinner party hosted at a friends, but with a menu and cocktail selection that could only be accomplished by professionals. Each plate had a special, delicious twist and the t-bone steak was perfection.More infoBridgette BarPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown•4.8
- GGeorgeVIPLas Vegas •66 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoIt was our third visit this year and each time is a fantastic experience. The hand rolled pasta was simple but delicious. The burger makes you feel like you're eating a juicy steak with groceries. The salmon was the best I've had in the city. My wife loved the chicken breast. Great value for money, too. My only constructive criticism would be to have fries available (rather than chips) with the burger.More infoKlein / HarrisPrice: Expensive• Canadian• Calgary•4.7
