- GGreg or AngieVIPSan Antonio •65 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe have been going to Biga for 11 years and it's almost always a perfect experience. Tonight we enjoyed a leisurely dinner for 2 right next to the windows that overlook the riverwalk. I didn't get our waiter's name but he was an older gentleman who has made a career out of waiting tables in nice restaurants and it shows. He was very hospitable and conversational and gave us great attention without going over the top. Biga is a relaxed experience and I love that it never gets too loud. This evening my wife had the Prix Fixe menu and enjoyed the tortilla soup, Australian rack of lamb and vanilla cookie cheesecake for dessert. I chose the regular menu and started with baby greens salad (apples, cranberries, apple cider vinaigrette, etc.), salmon with couscous, harissa roasted carrots and honey whipped goat cheese (or was it feta?) and microgreens. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. We also enjoyed the focaccia bread service with their fantastic whipped butter and sea salt. Very enjoyable evening and great food. Once thing to love about Biga is most main dishes have the option to have a reduced portion at a reduced price. It's perfect for eating a lighter meal in the evening.More infoBiga on the BanksPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.8
- CChristopherChicago / Illinois •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoSeafood was good. Good drink selection, including the mocktails. The use of a standardized 3 course menu helps a lot when you are already overwhelmed with the view! Recommend going after dark for better view. Parking is easy with 20 dollar flat fee. Restaurant notified us that a table opened up early, which was helpful. Good service given how crowded it was.More infoChart House Restaurant - Tower of the AmericasPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown•4.4
- LLindaTahoe / Reno Area •5 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI can’t imagine a lovelier Christmas dinner out. The service was excellent, the food outstanding (we had the prime rib, feast of the seven fishes, and Christmas ham) and the ambience quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend, and is definitely on my list of San Antonio restaurants to visit again.More infoSupperPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.6
- DDavidSan Antonio •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 21, 2024We have been to The Boiler House several times. Our visit before this last one want that great. Service was lacking. But, last night you guys nailed. We had excellent service. Our waiter who had several tables did a great job in balancing them all and also the help from other staff members just made the experience that much better. Of course the food was amazing, we had the Squid for an appetizer which was amazing and then the wife and I both had the Elk Chop, which was amazing. The waiter convinced us to try the Bread pudding and wow, 3 for 3. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks for the great and friendly service.More infoBoiler House at PearlPrice: Expensive• Contemporary Southern• Downtown•4.7
- JJerryVIPSan Antonio •4 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 19, 2024Restaurant Claudine is a charming dining spot set in an old house, giving it a cozy, intimate atmosphere with several rooms to enjoy your meal. The food was absolutely amazing—my Steak and Frites was perfectly cooked, and my wife’s Halibut was a standout dish as well. I appreciate that their menu changes frequently, offering a fresh experience each visit. The only drawback was the acoustics. With so many hard surfaces and the lively energy of people talking and laughing, it was quite noisy, making it difficult to hear the server explain the menu items. Overall, if you’re seeking exceptional food in a unique setting, Restaurant Claudine is worth a visit. Just be prepared for a vibrant, bustling ambiance!More infoRestaurant ClaudinePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Downtown•4.5
