- KKelleneNew York City •2 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoAttended The Farmhouse for my son’s 20th birthday. The staff was accommodating even though we were the last guests to arrive on a quiet Tuesday night. The restaurant was beyond cozy with very private booths that allowed for an exclusive experience. Our waitress was very polite and attentive. The shrimp cocktail was good, though for the price I would have expected jumbo shrimp as opposed to the medium sized shrimp served. We all ordered the prime rib which was delicious. The portion is also more than enough for two meals. The asparagus was cooked perfectly though I’d say the mashed potatoes were good, not great. I would have loved to see a bit more variety of veggies available on the sides options like perhaps sautéed broccoli or seared Brussel sprouts. The desserts were great. My son had both the banana pudding and the lemoncello mascarpone cake. Both were delicious. Overall, a very nice experience worth traveling for.More infoThe FarmhousePrice: Expensive• American• Roanoke•4.6

- MMichaelVIPVirginia •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThe food and atmosphere are always great. You can always count on a number of menu items and there are always 1 or 2 new things to try every few months. Fortunato is our favorite Italian Restaurant in Roanoke and is part of our dining rotation (which means we are there 5 or 6 times a year). We are never disappointed, especially when Trevor is our waiter. We always order the bread service and flip between the Frito Misto (Calamari) and the Burratta for appetizers. My wife tried their new swordfish dish which was excellent, I had the Risotto and our grown son had the Tagliatelle Bolognese. We also had some great cocktails but skipped dessert.More infoFortunatoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Roanoke•4.8
- EELLENVirginia •1 review4.0Dined on Dec 1, 2024Beautifully decorated inside, staff was extremely pleasant. My overall frustration was not knowing that when we booked reservations for six people in the lounge that we would not be giving an actual table to seat at to eat. Instead of couch and a couple chairs around a low coffee table. We enjoyed appetizers and cocktails, but unfortunately had to go across the street to another restaurant for a sitdown dinner. Will go back but with a new understanding.More infoThe Vault at The Liberty TrustPrice: Expensive• Tapas / Small Plates• Roanoke•4.3
