Best Restaurants for Groups in Chinatown / Kensington Market

Went to Alobar for dinner before a show at Scotiabank Arena. The whole experience was amazing, with our meal being the star. We will definitely be back.

Incredible!!! Service. Food. Ambiance. Music. Perfection. We didn’t realize there was a time constraint as we were caught up in our convo, and the next table had arrived…so we weren’t able to order the spectacular lemon meringue pie which we were a bit sad about, but then poof! They were so thoughtful and put in a bag for us when we were leaving. That’s the epitome of hospitality. I love it here, the food is perfection. Everything is. Cannot recommend it enough! Wedge salad, tots, chicken, scallops - everything was divine.

Friendly and welcoming staff, great service and tasty food, fun vibe and cool spot to hang out. Only issue would be it was a bit pricey. Great experience overall and would definitely go back.

For the location, price and quantity and quality of food, I highly recommend. It is a beautiful ambience inside and the service was delightful. Our server luiza P, took care of us when we dined and she did a wonderful job. Very kind, great response time, checked with the kitchen to accommodate our allergy, and also never made us feel like we were being rushed. The kitchens accommodations were spectacular for our allergy and while we thought we were going to be limited, they were very helpful and we are super grateful for the spectacular dishes we were served. They have a wine sommelier too to help with our pick for the night which was perfect. 10/10 recommend this spot for you to go!
