Best Restaurants for Groups in Porthleven

Our third visit to Tartan Fox, this time with family. The food always surprises on the upside. People expect pub grub and it’s quite a step up from your average local! Service was excellent. Attentive and friendly. In all, it’s very good value for money at c£22 per main course (with side dishes extra). Many places in Newquay would charge the same for far inferior cuisine. There were extra heaters in place, which were welcome.

We had no restaurant booked on our first night in St Ives, but popped into Reef & Beet who were busy, but kindly found us a table. The food was so good,all the waiting staff were incredibly friendly and informative about the menu. On top of this the prices were very fair and the menu varied - two quite hard things to find in St Ives! Highly recommend!

Another incredible experience at Ugly Butterly. The views of Carbis Bay will always take your breath away as you enter inside the restaurant. Very attentive staff who are always one step ahead. Incredible food that hit all the senses! Truly is an experience eating here.

Really had a good time here , friendly welcoming and attentive team of staff. The restaurant looks great , contemporary and fantastic views over Charleston harbour and with an excellent vibrant atmosphere. Our meals were simply superb, very high quality produce used especially the steaks. This has become a family Christmas tradition now because we all enjoy it here so much. Thanks to all the team there.

As always, we eat here pre theatre, never anything less than brilliant, it’s without doubt the best place to eat in Truro.
